Texas Association Concerned with School Age Parenthood is a non-profit organization comprised of individuals and organizations who work with the schoolage at-risk population. TACSAP has been providing support to its members since 1976. The annual conference gives members the opportunity to network with peers from all over Texas and obtain much needed information on topics relative to young parents and the at-risk youth.
History of TACSAP
Texas Association Concerned with School Age Parenthood was established in 1976 by the Texas Department of  Human Services and the Texas Department of Community Affairs, with assistance from the National Alliance Concerned with School Age Parents.
The first conference was held in 1976.  Annual conferences have been held since then to keep members current on topics, legislation changes, and TEA regulations that affect young parents.
2016 marked the 40th annual conference.  We had a great time looking back at all the changes, challenges, and successes the organization and its members have had over the past 40 years.
